Yunnan is located at southern part of China bordering with Vietnam and Burma. There are around 50 different ethnic groups live in this high altitude plateau province. At the capital of the Province, Kunming, the major metropolitan area, the water boils at 93 Celsius Degree.

Yunnan is the most ethnic-diversified province of China, and possibly the most ethnic-diversified region in the world. More than half of China's 100 minority groups lives in Yunnan.

The average evaluation of Yunnan Province is about 1800 meters ( about 5,000 ft). The Himalaya Plateau extended east cross Yunnan Province and build a natural blockage. Make it the most difficult to reach place in China. During the past 5000 years, there are several attempts by the local power try to pull Yunnan away from the Great China without success.
