Wax-dyed Process

Fabric Wax-dye painting is a special process developed by several ethnic groups living in Southwest China region. Cotton fabrics is first covered with wax with various design, and color pigments are painted in multiple process. Since different color pigments has different diffusion  speed in wax and unique chromatography results obtained when wax are removed by heating or physical means.

Wax-dyed fabrics often provide the end products with unpredictable color, pattern, texture, which make every item unique and have clear distinction with others.
